Be A Sexy Black Woman With These Items From Sexy Black Women

I was looking thru my camera roll, scouring for possible Instagram content, when I came across a picture of myself at dinner in the Caribbean during my pre-birthday trip in December.

“Hm.. this is something,” I thought. Then, as I continued to stare at the picture as I tweaked it to make it Instagram-worthy, I noticed that everything I have on is Black-woman owned. And it’s Black History Month, aaaaaaand I need to post more content on this personal lifestyle blog if I ever want it to see the first page of Google, so I figured, may as well give it its own blog post!

In the event y’all are new here, don’t get it twisted, I support Black women every month of the year. Being that I’m a blogger now, and I’m realizing the importance of posting on what’s trending, I’m deciding to share more of my Black business buys.

Even though I tend to go on and on across this Los Angeles lifestyle and travel blog, especially when I get on my soapbox in the opinion column section, I’ll make this one short and sweet.

Wig

“Quick Crown” from Conscious Curls by Angela Stevens

You know it as a headband wig, they know it as a quick crown, at Conscious Curls. As I told viewers on YouTube, a quick crown from Conscious Curls was my first ever wig purchase. I didn’t even have the slightest clue of how to put a wig on! Angela took out some time to show me 1-on-1, how to put on my wig, during an Instagram Live session. My exact wig is their 24-inch “Quick Crown” in the texture “Peace”. (Yes, that’s a link directly to it.)

Lashes

“B’Foreign Minks” from Third & 27th by Rashan Johnson and Monet Saint James

Fortunately and unfortunately, thanks to my genetics and the way I (try to) eat, I’m a pretty hairy girl. My natural lashes are very visible, but there’s no such thing as “I don’t need lashes” when we’re talking glamour and sexiness. Lashes take your look to the next level. You pop on a pair of mink lashes and you go from “cute” to va va voom!

Rashan and Monet started this online store in memory of their best friend, Tafoya Jones, who before her untimely passing, could often be caught confidently fluttering some dramatic lashes.

I bought the “B’Foreign Queen” and “B’Foreign Angel” strips, which are both currently out-of-stock, so subscribe to Third & 27th’s newsletter to catch them when they come back in! Even though I don’t wear lashes often, I bought two because they’re only $9! What?? Yes!! The quality is as good as mink lash strips I’ve paid 3x as much for. No exaggeration. You’re not going to find those kind of prices around LA.

And last, but not least, you have to have something on your body.. unless you’re going to a nude beach. This boutique, located across the street from L.A.’s infamous Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles, is the perfect place to shop if being sexy is your goal. According to their site summary, “Kennedy Pico Collection is all about being sexy and elegant with prices that do not break the bank.”

If you check out a previous blog post where I featured this same top from Kennedy Pico’s boutique, you’ll see I tied it a completely different way. It looks like a new top!

I don’t think I need to say this, but I will to be safe. If you’re reading this and you’re not a Black woman, you are not excluded. As long as your money is green, these girls will take it. Okay?! Come on and circulate some much needed dollars into the Black community. Go’on get you a wig, some lashes, and a sexy outfit from these Black-woman-owned businesses!

This blog post is NOT a paid promotion.

I do not get paid to share these resources with you… yet.

Let’s be clear, paid promotions are coming my way. Amen? Amen! In Jesus’ name, my P.O. Box will overflow with items I’ve been gifted to post on my personal lifestyle blog, and my bank account will increase from ad partnerships. And, Jesus, I don’t mean in the distant future, no, no, Jesus. I see this happening for Your child soon, Dear Lord. I see this for Your child in the next 6-8 months, Sweet Jesus. Yes Lord, continued increase in traffic to my personal lifestyle blog, Lord. Mm hm, mm hm. That increase will be followed by increased revenue and opportunities. Oh yes, Lord, I hear You, Sweet Jesus. For You said, faith without works is dead, and though Your child did take her sweet time getting here, she’s finally putting in the work consistently. She’s been had the faith. Whew Jesus, You got this. I know You do. I thank You in advance, Lord. Amen.

Excuse me, y’all, that praise break came up and it had to come out. Whew!

As I was saying, none of these women paid me, nor did they give me anything for free, or even at a discounted rate. I reiterate that to say that I’m sharing all of these goods for you out of the kindness of my heart. (And, to give myself something to do, in hopes that I don’t lose the little bit of marbles I have left, but trust me, there’s plenty of other ways I could be entertaining myself.)

This is for you. You, the reader. You, the one being featured.

What’s that song all the girls have been putting as their caption on Instagram, “hrs & hrs”? Yeah, I’m at this, creating lifestyle blog content, for hours and hours and I’ve not seen one red cent. And if I never see a nickel, will I regret the countless amount of time I’ve spent? Not at all. Not if one girl’s birthday trip planning was easier because of my travel diary. Not if one Black-woman-owned business gets an additional sell because of the “while in Los Angeles > buy Black” category. Not if thru my tiny little corner of the Internet, on this personal lifestyle blog, I make the slightest difference in somebody’s world. I won’t regret it at all.

There’s only one way that can happen, and that’s by people seeing this humble creation. Are you going to help it be seen? All it takes is a simple share. If you’ve found anything in here remotely helpful, even down to where I place the commas, please share.

No matter the number of followers, you can share this as a clickable link in your InstaStory. You don’t use Instagram? Post it on Facebook! Tweet it! No social media at all? Share the link as an email!

Come on, baby, we’re millennials, we know how this share thing works.
